KIKO CARES for the PLANET

Monitoring of our emissions

The company’s emissions, including Scope 1, 2 and 3, are calculated and monitored annually, with the aim of defining specific emission reduction targets in the medium term. Since year X, we have been using electricity with Guarantees of Origin in our stores and offices in Italy, France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Spain and Portugal, for a total of X kWh.

KIKO has implemented a wide range of measures to mitigate and reduce the environmental impact of its business activities. In terms of reduction, the company has been on a path for several years now to purchase clean energy with Guarantees of Origin for the entirety of stores and offices in Italy, France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Spain and Portugal.

We invest in local communities though social responsibility projects that promote education and independence. We collaborate with non-profit organizations to support social issues and contribute to creating a better society.

Promote our people’s well-being

We strive to create a positive and respectful work environment where people are encouraged to express themselves freely and have access to equal opportunities, regardless of ethnicity, culture, gender, age, beliefs, sexual orientation, nationality, religion, and opinions.

The development of our employees is also supported by our BeKIKO LEARNING HUB: a digital training center of excellence that offers high-quality learning programs tailored to different roles and positions. Since 2022, more than 27,000 hours of training have been delivered globally.

Social positive impact

We collaborate with nonprofit organizations to support social initiatives; we are actively engaged with social projects aimed particularly at the female population, so that every woman can feel not only beautiful and confident, but also free from prejudice and discrimination.

In Italy, with our partner Amici dei Bambini ETS (Ai.Bi), we support victims of violence through psychological support centers.

In France, KIKO collaborates with two different nongovernmental organizations: Solidarité Femmes supporting victims of violence and Agefip, which was created to promote the integration of people with disabilities.

In Spain, the company has chosen to support Fundación Ana Bella, which is active on issues of combating violence against women and their reintegration into the labor market.

Finally, in the Middle East, KIKO has forged relationships with the organization Al Jalila Foundation and the Dubai Foundation For Women and Children. For KIKO, local community engagement is two-fold, promoting the advancement of scientific research. In Italy, we have been supporting Fondazione Umberto Veronesi for several years through the sponsorship of scholarships.

We proactively collaborate with suppliers and support the research and development of innovative solutions that embrace both creativity and sustainability.

We promote dialogue with our stakeholders, including customers, employees, suppliers and local communities, to understand their needs nd expectations.

Robust ESG governance

We promote a company culture based on ethics and integrity, guaranteeing transparency in all our operations and communications. We adopt strict governance practices, ensuring that our decisions are guided by principles of sustainability and social responsibility.

Enhance supply chain partnerships

We work with suppliers who guarantee the highest social, ethical and environmental standards, in line with our goals. To this end, we establish long-term relationships with them and engage in an ongoing dialogue, communicating our values and priorities to ensure that they share our vision. To go a step further, we include a code of ethics clause in our contracts with third parties. We are committed to adopting a Global Supplier Code of Conduct, which will be signed by all major suppliers by 2025. We require our direct suppliers to have sustainable evaluation through EcoVadis. Our goal is to have 100% of our key suppliers EcoVadis approved by 2030. In addition, to ensure that only high-quality, ethical and responsible suppliers are included in our supplier list, we have introduced an ESG questionnaire. Our product suppliers, with the exception of POP material suppliers, are validated by quality process audits in accordance with ISO 22716 (Good Manufacturing Practice). Non-European suppliers undergo ethical inspections on issues such as health and safety, hygiene, environmental management, child and youth labor, working hours, wages and benefits, and labor practices.
