15 Great skin care tips for a beautiful and healthy-looking skin

15 Great Skin Care Tips for a Beautiful and Healthy-Looking Skin | KIKO MILANO

Beauty should never be only skin deep; however, this does not mean that we should not try to take care of it, making sure we can feel more comfortable in it.

We should do what we can to achieve our desired results and make sure we repeat them in the skincare routine that suits our need and those of our skin.

To help you understand better what needs to be done, we compiled a list of tips and suggestions we would like to share with you on how to maintain an excellent skin and a healthy glow.

And remember… to have good skin, living a healthy life is paramount. So, it is very important to follow a few simple rules.

1. Make sure you get a good sleep

A simple, golden rule to make sure we get a head start when it comes to having a great skin is having a good night sleep (usually 7-8 hours), which helps us feel less tired, prevents the appearance of those much-disliked darker circles around the eyes, and much, much more.

2. Wash your face

No matter your skin type, washing your face twice a day is very good practice. During the night, our bodies sweat so it needs to be washed out in the morning. Therefore, it is good to wash your face using a facial wash or a cleanser, as water is not enough to remove all the dirt released while we sleep. Another extremely good practice is to wash your face again before going to bed, making sure to remove any makeup residue.

3. Keep your skin moisturised

It is super important to keep the skin moisturised, as our skin acts as a barrier. Moisturising can reduce the chance of developing extreme dryness or oiliness. Both extremes are harmful for skin and cause common skin conditions. Moreover, using a daily moisturiser ensures that the skin's blemishes are camouflaged.

4. Do not slack with your makeup remover

Removing the day’s makeup is a must. We said this earlier on, but we are going to say it again: it does not matter how tired or lazy you are that night, it is important that you remove your makeup. The skin renews itself during the night and when you leave makeup on, you are preventing that from happening and fatigue signs appear soon enough.

5. Invest in your skincare products

It is paramount to buy good products for you, like those of KIKO MILANO. Just as you would do for food, clothes or sports gear. It would 100% pay you back in the long run.

6. Put on that mask

If you would like to start fresh with your skin, a mask can further aid your efforts. Facial masks can act as powered moisturisers. Prepare to have hydrated, glowing skin that looks and feels renewed.

7. Put out that cigarette

Alas, this is very true. Smoking makes your skin look older and contributes to wrinkles.

8. Be gentle to your skin when you bathe

Hot water and long showers or baths remove oils from your skin. Limit your bath or shower time, use warm — rather than hot — water. Strong soaps and detergents can strip oil from your skin, we recommend using mild cleansers instead, like our gentle face soap.

9. Exfoliate

Exfoliating your skin makes sure that you remove dead cells from the outer layers of the skin. Facial exfoliators can be beneficial for removing dry or dull skin, and brightening and improving your skin's appearance.

10. Manage stress

Uncontrolled stress can make your skin more sensitive and trigger skin problems. To encourage healthy-looking skin, take steps to manage your stress. Get enough sleep, set reasonable limits, scale back your to-do list and make time to do the things you enjoy. You have no idea what kind of wonders this can work.

11. Get tanned naturally

Try not to use tanning beds or sunlamps. They emit harmful UVA radiation.

12. Get professional advice

If you notice something is wrong with your skin, go talk to your skin doctor or dermatologist. They may be able to tell you if you’re inadvertently damaging your skin or check the cause of issues.

13. Use skin care products that match your skin's needs.

Know your canvas and what you are working with. What's your skin type? Oily, dry, normal, combination, or delicate? Do you have a skin condition? Using products formulated for your skin's needs will help your skin look and feel its best.

14. Be consistent

Keeping a consistent routine works its magic. If you know what is good for you and your skin, just do it and keep doing it.

15. No matter what, do what is best for you

Remember, these are just beauty tips from us. But, at the end of the day, it is you the person having to deal and wear your skin every day, so definitely you know best. Do what is good for you every day and just keep doing it, do not ever slack: it will work.
