Are KIKO products tested on animals?

KIKO does not carry out or commission testing on animals.

The law is extremely clear: since March 2009, animal testing for new cosmetic ingredients has been prohibited throughout the European Union. The ban in terms of finished products came into force in 2004, even if the cosmetics industry effectively stopped using them in the 1980s.
In March 2013, the final and complete ban on the sale of finished products containing ingredients tested on animals for cosmetic ends outside the European community came into force in EU countries.

KIKO is committed to following the progress within both the Italian and European cosmetics industries in terms of research into experiments to replace the toxicology tests performed on animals to protect the safety of consumers.
